Lebanese resistance forces attack Israeli positions
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 11/2/1998

Lebanese resistance forces on Sunday attacked an Israeli military position in the Debseh area in the occupied zone of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the resistance said the position was hit directly and columns of smoke were seen rising from the post. Meantime, the Israeli government renewed its refusal of UN resolutions and withdrawal from south Lebanon by not implementing the Security Council resolution 425.

Coordinator of Israeli affairs in south Lebanon, Ori Lobrani, said on Saturday that Israel will not withdraw from south Lebanon without what he called "security arrangements."

Lobrani justified the continuation of Israeli occupation in south Lebanon by the lack of arrangements, which are completely opposed by Lebanon.
