Palestinian minister supports Wye agreement
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/31/1998
Some Palestinian ministers voted against the Wye Plantation agreement, as secretary general of the Palestinian Authority El-Taib Abd El-Reheem said that a small number of ministers oppose the agreement. He did not specify their number or identities.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded that the Palestinians detain Mohamed Dief, one of the leaders of the Hamas movement, saying that he was involved in the suicide attack accident on a school bus in the Gaza Strip. The attacker and an Israeli soldier were killed in the incident.
Netanyahu said that such incidents in the future could affect the peace process and the Palestinian leadership, so the Palestinians have to arrest the suspects and uncover their future terrorist plans.
