Egyptian businesses press dumping charges against Turkish iron

The owners of iron factories in Egypt decided to press a dumping charges against Turkish iron to the anti-dumping body in the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Supply.

Official sources in the Egyptian Industrial Union stated that the chamber of the banking industries presented many charges to the union's board of directors concerning dumping large quantities of Turkish iron on the Egyptian market to be sold at a lower price than Egyptian iron, which costs $65 per ton. The complaint said the dumping issue threatens Egypt's iron industry.

The sources expected the imposition of dumping fees of 15% on Turkish iron in the case the dumping claim is proved, adding that union informed the Turkish embassy in Egypt.
