Lebanon-Israel, Military, 10/29/1998

Israeli forces in the occupied area of south Lebanon attacked the outskirts of Majdel Zoun, al- Mansouri, Zibqin, Azziyyeh, Meryamin and Jib Sweid, Lebanon's National News Agency reported.

The Israeli position in al-Abbad attacked areas surrounding Tawline, Wadi Al- Hojair, and Ghandorourieh, and Israeli soldiers targeted Hardoun, Bilat and Al-Hamra, the report said.

The National News Agency added that the Lebanese Amal Movement attacked a position held by the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia in Qantara, while the Syrian National Socialist Party-affiliated Zowbaa Organization targeted Israeli positions in Dabsheh, Ali Taher and Sweida.

The Jerusalem Post reported that three SLA fighters were wounded in the Qantara fighting, while an Israeli soldier was severely wounded in fighting elsewhere in the occupied area.
