Syria refuses US invitation to resume normalization with Israel

Syrian official newspapers expressed yesterday Syria's refusal of the invitation presented by the US administration to resume normalization with Israel and asked the Arab countries to support its solidarity and refuse normalization.
Al-Baath newspaper criticized the statements made by US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright concerning inviting the Arab states to normalize relations, and it stated that Albright ignored all the obstacles placed by Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu the before the peace process in the area.
