Mauritanian opens an official representative bureau in Israel

Israeli official sources said yesterday that Mauritanian Foreign Minister Cheik El Afia Ould Mohamed Khouna started his first visit yesterday to Israel.
The sources added that Israeli President Ezer Weizman and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will receive Khouna today, and that the Mauritanian minister will also meet with his Israeli counterpart, as well as former Prime Minister Shimon Peres.
Mauritania is third Arab country in northwest Africa, after Tunisia and Morocco, to open an official representative bureau in Israel since the peace process' commencement.
