Lahoud continues consultations ahead of assuming presidency

Lebanese President-elect Emil Lahoud met with Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri to discuss issues that will be on the agenda when he assumes the presidency next month, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.
The report said that the two, along with Lebanese Finance Minister Fouad Sanyoura "financial, economic and administrative issues."
Hariri stated that he and Lahoud agree on the development of Lebanon, the report said.
Lahoud, the leader of the Lebanese Army, was elected by a unanimous vote of the Lebanese Parliament on October 15 and will take over his new office on November 24, replacing current President Elias Hrawi, who has served in that capacity for nine years.
