Defense agreement signed between Qatar and France

Qatar and France signed yesterday a new defense agreement aimed at enhancing military cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by French Minister of Defense Alan Richard and by the Qatari armed forces' Chief of Staff Sheikh Hamad Bin Ali El-Atia.
El-Atia stated after the signing of the agreement in Doha that agreement calls for defending Qatar's territories if necessary, as well as transferring French modern technology to Qatar.
The agreement requires France to provide Qatar with military equipment that comprises 10 Leclerc tanks.
