Moroccan women's soccer team ousted from African championships

The Moroccan women's soccer team tied 0-0 in their 3rd match played Friday at the 1st African Women's Soccer Championships currently held in Lagos, Nigeria.
Despite this result, the Moroccan team will not qualify for the next round after ending 3rd in their group headed by Nigeria, the host country. The 2nd place went to Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Moroccans, who were trashed in their opening match against Nigeria (8-0), gained their 2nd match against Egypt 4/1 and tied in their 3rd game.
