Morocco and China to step up cooperation ties
Morocco-China, Politics, 10/24/1998

Speaker of the Moroccan Chamber of advisors, Mohamed Jalal Essaid, conferred Thursday here with visiting Chinese MPs (members of Parliament) delegation on ways of enhancing further cooperation ties between the two countries legislative bodies.

The two sides stressed the need to forge a permanent dialogue and consultation between Moroccan and Chinese MPs to preserve the longstanding friendship ties between the two countries peoples.

Talks also covered Morocco's political "alternation" experience and ways to rev up trade exchanges, increasing Chinese investments in Morocco and topical issues of common concern on the regional and international issues.

China is Morocco's 7th supplier and one of its major aid donors. It provides the kingdom with valuable technical assistance mainly in the fields of vocational training, traditional medicine, sports and dams infrastructures, silk-worm breeding and tea farming.
