Relations between Lebanon and Iraq to resume soon

Official sources in the Lebanese Foreign Ministry said that governmental relations between Lebanon and Iraq will be soon resumed on a non-diplomatic level.
The sources said that Iraq will send during the coming days an administrative employee to arrange matters inside the Iraqi embassy in Beirut, especially relating to administrative issues, including visas.
An employee in the Lebanese Foreign Ministry will also will also head to Baghdad tomorrow to facilitate Lebanese administrative affairs there.
Lebanon has halted its diplomatic affairs with Iraq since 1994 when the Lebanese authorities accused Baghdad of being involved in the assassination of an Iraqi opposition member in Beirut.
