Kharazi contacted his Syrian and Turkish counterparts on tensions

Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi has made separate telephone calls to Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa and Turkish Foreign Minister Ismael Cem.
During the two telephone conversations, he discussed the developments in the tensions between Damascus and Ankara and the bilateral meeting between Syrian and Turkish officials to defuse the crisis.
Kharazi expressed satisfaction over the joint meeting held between the two sides. He stressed Iran's readiness, being the chairperson of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, to further its efforts to bring viewpoints together between the two countries and to settle the crisis by peaceful means.
Both al-Sharaa and Cem thanked Iran for its efforts to alleviate tension between the two countries.
