President Mubarak received communique from the Russian president

President Hosni Mubarak received a communique from Russian President Boris Yeltsin whose envoy, Ogadif, currently visiting Cairo, delivered the communique to Amr Moussa on Tuesday.
Obdif said the communique concerns enhancing Egyptian - Russian relations in all fields and methods of upgrading those relations in the future, adding that he discussed with Moussa recent developments in the regional situation, international and regional issues of joint concern.
Answering reporters on whether any progress had been achieved in Washington peace negotiations, the Russian envoy said he will have to wait.
Concerning the Russian role in the Turkish - Syrian row, Ogadif said that Russia greatly supports the Egyptian diplomatic efforts to defuse this row.
Ogadif also said that the situation in Russia is improving and the Russian role in the peace process will be more positive.
