Intensified security measures in Sanaa

The Yemeni security bodies in Sanaa have recently undertaken a concentrated security campaign to arrest those responsible for placing explosives inside a plastic package placed in trash containers in an effort to harm workers in one of the northeast districts of Sanaa.

The explosion, due to which two cleaning workers were seriously injured, took place while the workers were lifting the barrel of trash.

The security forces said they suspected tribes and individuals from the Socialist Party who want to undermine security in Yemen and say that the situation is still unstable in the country since the war that unified North and South Yemen in 1994.
