Egypt - Turkey trade reaches 700 million dollars

Egypt signed yesterday an agreement for commercial cooperation with Turkey, which dictates the exchange of information and expertise, in addition to research and joint marketing studies made by the center for upgrading Egyptian exports and the Turkish international trade department.
Moreover the agreement called for presenting facilities to Turkish delegates during their visits to Egypt and regulating training programs.
Egyptian Minister of Trade and Supply Ahmed Goweili said that the dealings between Egypt and Turkey will be fulfilled through joint enterprises between both countries, pointing out that the volume of trade between the two countries amounted to nearly $700 million during 1997.
He expressed his hope to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries to more than $1 billion during the next two years.
