Tunis intends to sell three new cement factories

Tunisian Minister of Development Taoufik Baccar said today that Tunis intends to privatize three of the four cement factories still owned by the public sector.
Tunis agreed with the Spanish group Oniland on purchasing a cement factory which is 100 kilometers south of the capital, with another agreement established with the Portuguese group Sinoport for purchasing a cement factory in Jabal al-Wasat city, 30 kilometers south of the capital, Tunis.
Bakar said that the privatization process took in $316 million, 93% of the direct investment volume that Tunis attracted last year.
