Cities pledge to consolidate democracy in Mediterranean

Some seventeen cities from 11 mediterranean countries have pledged to promote democracy in the Mediterranean and to bridge the gaps between the banks of the Mare Nostrum.This came in the Malaga Declaration adopted last week by the Mediterranean conference on cities strategic planning held in Malaga.
The participants, who pledged to promote a coherent strategic planning, pointed out in the declaration that an urban sustained development improving the citizens living standards necessarily goes through Mediterranean peoples' stability and peace.
