Syria - Morocco cooperation in higher education

Moroccan minister of higher education, staff training and scientific research, Najib Zerouali, conferred Tuesday in Rabat with visiting Syrian education minister, Mohamed Ghassan El Halabi, on ways of promoting cooperation in higher education and scientific research.
The two sides stressed the need to update the partnership accords signed in 1991 between Morocco and Syria in higher education and related sectors
The Syrian minister, who arrived Sunday in Morocco, had met earlier his Moroccan peer Ismail Alaoui.
Talks focused on cooperation prospects in academic scientific studies, teachers training, pedagogy and the cultural program set by two countries for the 1998-2000 period.
