Moroccan executives talk to German officials on European issues
Morocco-Germany, Politics, 9/30/1998

A group of Moroccan executives from various ministries held this week in Bonn with officials of the German foreign ministry talks on European issues, it was officially announced here.

The source said the Moroccan executives undertook an information mission, as Germany will take over next Januray the rotating chairmanship of the European Union.

A spokesman for the German foreign department explained that the talks were not a "session of negotiations" and did not address bilateral issues but centered on the general development and enlargement of the union, financial aspects and institutional reforms.

Talks also tackled the European Union's policy in the Mediterranean and Germany's action within the Union when it will assume the six-month chairmanship term.
