Moroccan Islamic affairs minister in Saudi Arabia
Morocco, Religion, 9/29/1998
Moroccan Endowments and Islamic Affairs Minister Abdelkebir Alaoui Mdaghri started Monday a several-day work visit to Saudi Arabia to prepare the best stay conditions for Moroccan pilgrims during the upcoming Haj season.
The Moroccan minister will examine with Saudi officials ways to improve administrative procedures, accommodations, transportation and other stay conditions for Moroccan pilgrims. About 29,000 Moroccans traveled last year to Saudi Arabia to perform pilgrimage rites, one of the five pillars of Islam.
