GCC foreign ministers to meet with international counterparts

Foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council will hold a series of meetings with their counterparts in the countries of the European Union, the USA, China, Japan, Russia, the countries of ASEN group (southeast Asia) and the group of Rio De Janeiro of Latin America.
The meetings will be held on the sidelines of meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in New York this month.
In a pre-departure statement he made today before heading to New York, GCC Secretary-General Jamil al-Hujeilan said these annual meetings would provide the chance for the GCC states to discuss issues of interest with representatives of these countries.
Hujeilan added that the GCC foreign ministers will meet with their counterparts in the European Union on September 24 to discuss political and economic issues of mutual concern.
