European - Mediterranean joint work plan for combating terrorism

Ambassador Fathi El-Shazeli, Egypt's assistant foreign minister for European affairs, announced today that it was agreed among the 27 countries of the Barcelona process to convene a meeting to study methods of developing a joint work plan to combat terrorism.
In press statements after returning from the meetings of the Barcelona committee in Brussels, Belgium, he said it was also agreed to convene another meeting to to reach a charter for peace, security and stability in the Mediterranean - European framework.
