Symposium in Washington for developing Middle East financial systems

The World Bank is to arrange a symposium in Washington on October 4. The symposium is about building and developing the financial systems in the Middle East and northern Africa, on the occasion of the bank's annual joint meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The symposium will discuss steps to be taken for improving the banking bodies in the Middle East within the lessons learned from Asian financial crisis and discussing the necessary measures and improving resources.
A number of high-ranking finance and banking experts on the Middle East and North Africa at the World Bank, economic officials and bankers will participate in the symposium.
