Tunisian women the most active participants among Arabs

A report issued by the UN said that Tunisian women are the most active women in the Arab states in political activities and the economy.They are followed by the Kuwaitis.
The report, published by the United Nations Development Program, said that Tunisian women occupy 7.6% of Parliament seats and 12.7% of administrative posts in both the private and public sectors. Women in Tunisia also constitute 35.6% of the experienced labor force and receive 2 5 % of total wages.
Tunisia occupies 74th world spot concerning women's participation in political and economic life, according to the report, which evaluated the situation in 102 countries. The report does not include 12 countries from the 21 total Arab states.
Kuwait takes the 75th position, representing the third position on the Arab level, despite the fact that women in Kuwait have no right to vote nor to be members of the Nation's Council. Kuwaiti women occupy 5.2 % of the administrative posts in the private and public sectors, 36.8% of the experienced labor force. They receive 25% of the total wages.
The Syrians come in 79th. They precede Morocco (82), the Egypt (88), the United Arab Emirates (92), Algeria (93), Jordan (97), Mauritania (101). The report did not mention the situation of women in Lebanon, the first Arab country to give women the right to vote in 1953.
Other Arab states which were not mentioned in the report are Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Libya, Oman, Yemen, Sudan, Djibouti, Comoros and Saudi Arabia.
