Four pro-Israeli militia members killed in South Lebanon

Israeli security sources have acknowledging the killing of four Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia members following an attack by Lebanese resistance forces on Thursday in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

The SLA militias also acknowledged the deaths, saying that the victims were guards for SLA security official Joseph Karam in the Jezzine district. The sources added that an explosive charge planted by the resistance men also resulted in wounding a fifth SLA member. Thereby number of SLA members killed during the last two days totaled 6, and five were wounded.

On Thursday the Lebanese resistance had attacked a SLA armored vehicle on Ein Majdaline -Toumat Neiha road in the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said the explosion resulted in destroying the vehicle and its occupants including an SLA intelligence official.

Earlier in the day Israeli occupation forces continued attacks on areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon using all types of heavy weapons. In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance conducted the attack on Ein Majdalin road as well as the occupation's Balat position.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery bombarded earlier in the day al-Rafe mountain and Aqmata farm in al-Tuffah district and several towns in the western sector.

Israeli warplanes carried out mock raids over the western Bekaa. The war planes broke the sound barrier twice over the Lebanese capital, Beirut. It was fired on by Lebanese anti-aircraft missiles.

In the afternoon, Israeli jets raided the western heights of Mashghara town in the western Bekaa. Lebanese security sources said the jets dropped four air-surface missiles and smoke was seen in the targeted areas.

For the second time, Israeli warplanes raided the outskirts of Mashghara town in the western Bekaa. Lebanese security sources said that two Israeli jets launched two air-surface missiles of 1,000 pounds which caused violent explosion in areas of the central Bekaa and Rashayya. Black smoke covered the targeted areas.

The two Israeli jets also dropped thermal balloons to divert anti-aircraft fire from Lebanese army positions. In the afternoon, Israeli artillery bombarded Juba, Jarjou, Arab Salim, al-Rafi mountain, and the Litani and al-Zahrani river areas.

The Israeli aggressions coincided with heavy shelling targeting mountain roads linking the al-Tuffah district to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Moreover, Israeli jets continued intensive flights over the western, central and eastern sectors, al-Nabatieh area and al-Tuffah district.

Mock raids were carried out at low altitudes. It was intercepted by anti-craft fire from the Lebanese army and resistance.
