Chirac receives Kuwaiti foreign minister

French President Jacques Chirac on Monday received Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah and discussed with him means of strengthening bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern. Al-Sabah arrived in Paris earlier in the day in a two-day official visit to France.
On Monday night, French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedirine met with Sheikh al-Sabah. Following the meeting, al-Sabah said that talks dealt with regional issues pertaining to the situation in the Middle East and issues of mutual concern.
