Saudi Arabia, Iran for boosting bilateral cooperation

The foreign ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia, Kamal Kharazi and Prince Saud al-Faisal, respectively, discussed during their meeting in Durban, South Africa on the sideline of NAM summit conference bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of oil and the Afghan situation.
Tehran radio said yesterday that issues pertaining to oil price reduction and its adverse impact on the economics of oil-producing countries were at the top of issues discussed during the meeting.
The two sides stressed the need to increase the level of cooperation among OPEC's member states and the need to adopt oil policies preventing the reduction of oil prices.
The two sides also discussed developments of the situation in Afghanistan and its consequences on the region.
