Kenyan president: Relations with Arabs not affected by Nairobi bombings

Kenyan President Daniel Arap Moi has asserted that the Nairobi bombings will not undermine the good relations linking his country with the Arabs. He reiterated his country's position in favor of a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
In a statement to the London-based al-Hawadith daily, President Moi expressed satisfaction over the stances of Arabs in solidarity with his country. He called for deepening cooperation between the Arab and African states through the Arab League and the Organization of African Unity.
He stressed that Africa and the Arabs are standing in the same trench and have common hopes and objectives.
