Syrian VP condemn attack on Sudan, discuss relations with Jordanian

Syrian Vice-President Abdul Halim Khaddam received on Tuesday evening at his residence in Durban, South Africa, the head of the the Jordanian Council of Notables (al-Ayan ) Zeid al-Refae.
Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations, the situation in the region and the need to reach a better Arab situation that enables the Arab nation to face the "Zionist project."
Earlier in the day, Khaddam arrived in Durban in South Africa to lead the Syrian delegation to the 12th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement states after stopping in Khartoum on his way to Durban.
During his Sudanese stop, Khaddam made a statement on the American strike against the medicinal factory in Sudan. He said: "This aggression is condemned, because it targeted a brotherly country, and because no country has the right to use force only because it wants that." He added that the US caused great damages to the bases of international relations, saying, "No doubt, all the Arab people in the Arab countries have sympathized with the Sudan, the same as Sudan sympathizes with other Arab countries because all of us are one nation. If some of us suffered, all of other Arabs will suffer. We greet the Sudanese people's steadfastness in defying of all challenging facing the country."
