One UAE citizen receives death penalty over drug trafficking

A United Arab Emirates court yesterday sentenced to death an Omani citizen over drug trafficking charges. His partner was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.
The UAE's daily Gulf News said the convict Adnan Mubarak Abdullah was arrested while trying to sell 15 Kg of Hashish for a disguised policeman. The paper added that the partner who helped in transferring the hashish tried to escape but he was arrested shortly near the borders of the UAE with Oman.
