Three countries refund delayed payments for AL

Arab League Assistant Secretary-General Ali Abdul Karim said on Monday that agreements have been made with Libya, Kuwait and Algeria to refund US $25 million accumulated sums borne by the said countries for the AL budget.
On the sideline of the meeting of the AL permanent committee for financial affairs, Ali added the AL chief has agreed with the said three countries to reschedule their delayed payments, of which Libya has to pay US $18 million, Algeria US $5 million and US $1.9 million by Kuwait. Abdul Karim added that Arab states paid funds into the AL budget for 1998 reaching US $17 million out of US $27 million owed.
