Fourteen people killed in road accident

Fourteen people were killed and 16 others were seriously injured Sunday in a collision between two trucks in the Moroccan atlantic coast region of El-Jadida, about 100 km south of Casablanca.
The victims were traveling in one of the trucks after attending a marriage ceremony, the security sources said, noting that the accident was caused by high speeds.
In 1997, road accidents increased in Morocco by 9.7 percent, reaching 3,081 against 2,807 during the preceeding year.
Morocco has around 1.3 million cars for an estimated 28 million-strong population.
