A message from Iranian President to Gaddafi

The Iranian news agency today said that President Khatami's special envoy, Nour Shahroudi, met on Thursday with Libyan President Col. Moammar Gaddafi and handed him a message from Iranian President Muhammad Khatami. The message conveyed President Khatami's congratulations on the anniversary of the Libyan revolution which falls on September 1.
In his message, President Khatami stressed the importance of ties between the two countries and the importance of strengthening and developing them. Means of bolstering bilateral cooperation, especially in economic fields, were also reviewed during the meeting.
