Morocco ready to assist Burkina Faso in combating desertification

Morocco is ready to assist Burkina Faso in combating desertification, Moroccan environment secretary of state, Ahmed Iraki, said.
At a meeting held here with the visiting Burkina Faso environment minister, Salif Diallo, the Moroccan minister surveyed Morocco's experience in environment protection, greening and struggle against desert encroachment.
He also underlined the importance Morocco grants to the consolidation of inter-African cooperation and coordination in environmental protection and related sectors.
For his part, Diallo hailed the sound cooperation ties binding the two countries and affirmed that his country looks forward to benefiting from Morocco's positive experiences in drought control, rain-making and water harnessing.
