Iraq denies US claim

Iraq denied yesterday US press reports that Baghdad had been helping the Sudanese government produce VX nerve gas at the El-Shifa plant near Khartoum, which the US military bombed last week.
"Publishing such information is part of a scenario prepared by the US government to justify its armed aggression on Sudan," a spokesman for the Iraqi Information Ministry said.
