Sudanese army denies flight of US airplanes from Haliyub
Sudan-USA, Politics, 8/28/1998
Abdul Rahman Ser El-Khatm, the official spokesman of the Sudanese armed forces, said in press statements yesterday that reports that US airplanes were launched from a military base in Haliyub to strike El-Shefaa factory outside Khartoum are untrue.
He also said that Ugandan military troops are massing south the borders of the Sudanese tropical states, and he said the Sudanese army is ready to retaliate to any attack.
He also urged people to "pray and fast today" to commemorate the passing of a week since the US attack on El-Shefaa factory.
