Yemen, Politics, 8/28/1998

Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Saleh criticized the situation in Yemen in regard to the corruption in all the state's bodies and corporations. Saleh described some ministries as forming the core of corruption and called for a program of the administrative, financial and economic reform to be applied to allow the state to overcome its problems and the errors in the financial and the administrative bodies.

Saleh also announced that Yemen will pay a governmental subsidy on wheat and the flour that reaches nearly $40 million annually.
