Arab League has no information about convening Arab summit on Sudan
Lebanon-Regional, Politics, 8/27/1998
Esmat Abdul Meguid, the Arab League's secretary-general, denied in Beirut yesterday having information about convening an Arab summit to discuss the US attack against Sudan.
Abdul Meguid underlined the importance of sufficient preparation before holding any summit.
Abdul Meguid, who arrived on Tuesday, held talks with Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri that tackled the current developments in Lebanon and the Middle East.
Abdul Meguid is heading today a meeting in the industry and trade chamber to discuss the importance of Arab arbitration to give the Arab states the chance to benefit from it, especially because this subject occupies an important position in commercial disputes on the Arab and international levels.
