Iran: We want to help rebuild Arab oil infrastructure

Iranian sources told ArabicNews.com today that the trilateral cooperation suggested by Iran with France and Lebanon during the visit of French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine to Tehran last Saturday dealt with Iran's desire for participation in repairing the Tripoli refinery in Lebanon.
The pipeline that goes through Syria from Iraq, and efforts are underway to make it operational.
The sources said that Paris promised to study the special information on this cooperation and find out whether French petroleum companies are interested in it.
The source said Iran showed a readiness to participate in financing the repair of the refinery, a matter which arose surprise in French economic circles which follow up on the current economic crisis which Iran is undergoing due to the reduction in its petroleum prices.
On a different subject, the sources said that reductions in petroleum prices will force the Iranian Central Bank to reconsider the principles upon which the government bases the country's budget.
