Israel assassinates Amal member, wounds civilians

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday intensified their aggressive acts against South Lebanon, targeting civilians and public properties including a direct attack against a political figure.

A Lebanese security source said that a Lebanese citizen was assassinated when two Israeli helicopters attacked, using missiles, a car driven by citizen Husam al-Amin, a prominent figure from the Amal movement, south of Tyre. Lebanese security sources said that three rounds of Katyusha missiles, totaling 40 missiles, were fired between 9 and 10 pm last night as a retaliatory attack by the Lebanese resistance against Israeli locations. Israeli papers said some 13 persons in Nahariya and Kiryat Shmona were injured.
