Britain urged to reconsider situation of Islamist asylum seekers
Regional-UK, Politics, 8/25/1998

Monte Carlo radio today quoted British parliament member for the Labor party Donald Anderson as saying that the British immigration department should reconsider the situation of Syrian extremist Omar Bakri who was given political asylum in Britain.

Bakri is the leader of the Islamic expatriates (Muhajreen) movement, which is close to the international Islamist world, led by Osama Bin Laden. Anderson added that Britain should not receive such extremists.
