Netanyahu approves withdrawal from 13% of West Bank territories
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 8/25/1998
Israeli dailies published on Monday said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has at last given up certain conditions that prevent the realization of an accord with the Palestinian government on partial redeployment from the West Bank.
The papers added that Netanyahu approved a redeployment of 13% from the West Bank. The papers expected progress to be realized in the meeting to have been held in Oslo on Monday between Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and the US peace process coordinator Dennis Ross.
The Israeli dailies continued that the Israeli negotiators have recently delivered Arafat a redeployment plan for Israeli troops in the West Bank with no preconditions.
