Syrian official delegation for inaugurating commercial center in Baghdad
Syria-Iraq, Economics, 8/25/1998

Syrian economic sources told ArabicNews.com today that "the Syrian government is currently studying forming a high level economic delegation from ministry of economy and the chambers of industry and trade to travel to Baghdad to inaugurate the Syrian commercial center.

Agreeing on reopening the two bureaus took place during the visit of the Iraqi trade minister Mohammed Mahdi Saleh two month ago - to the Syrian capital within their rapprochement between them after a rupture that started since 1980.

The sources said that the two bureaus will present samples from the Iraqi and the Syrian goods in order to find markets for it in the two countries, and that "the Iraqi center will only displays items permitted by the United Nations, while the rest of production could be displayed as examples, like what happened in the previous international exhibition in last year."
