Kabariti informs Abdul Meguid of Algeria developments

Arab League Secretary-General Esmat Abdul Meguid received yesterday afternoon Abdelkarim Kabariti, a member of the recent United Nations delegation to Algeria, who conveyed a message from former Portuguese President Mario Soares, the delegation's leader.

In the communique, Soares informed Abdul Meguid of the results of the committee's visit to Algeria and expressed his thanks for the role played by the Arab League in his matter.

Kabariti conveyed to Abdul Meguid greetings from Algerian President Liamine Zeroual and his appreciation of the Arab League's position toward Algeria.

Kabariti explained the role played by the committee during its visit to Algeria, noting the absolute transparency the committee received while performing its mission.
