Garang due to visit Libya soon
Sudan-Libya, Politics, 8/21/1998
The head of the Sudanese People's Liberation Army, John Garang, received an official invitation to visit Libya during the current month.
Sources in the SPLA said the invitation Garang received is separate from invitations the leaders of the National Democratic Alliance received, adding that an SPLA delegation will head soon to Libya, to prepare for the visit.
The sources expected that the visit will come during August and will include talks between Garang and Gaddafi tackling the outcomes of last negotiations in Nairobi and Addis Ababa, between the SPLA and Khartoum's government.
