Lebanon ratifies custom agreement signed with Syria

During its Thursday night session, the Lebanese Cabinet signed the customs agreement reached between Syria and Lebanon. Lebanese Information Minister Basem al-Sabaa said the Cabinet in its Thursday night session signed the custom agreement providing for a 25% reduction of custom fees annually on Syrian industrial products. The reduction, reciprocal to Syria's similar decision, is to be valid as of January 1999.
