Israel threaten to terrorize Lebanon as 40 citizens cheat death from failed bomb

Israeli occupation forces on Thursday morning bombarded several villages in southern Lebanon and its western Bekaa by heavy artillery. Heavy material losses were recorded.
Lebanese security sources the bombardment targeted Habboush river, al-Kfour valley, al-Hamra farm, the outskirts of Yahmur, Jeyaa, and the highway linking Nabatieh and al-Tuffah district in the south. The bombardment also targeted Qelya mount and Lucy district in the Western Bekaa.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese national resistance on Thursday morning attacked the position of the Israeli troops and allied militia forces in Tallet al-Sweida. Direct hits were scored. On Thursday night Joun town in al-Kharoub district was attacked with intensive Israeli artillery fire, resulting in damaging one house, whereas fires broke into the woods surrounding the town.
In the afternoon, the occupation forces shelled the hills and heights of al-Tuffah district. Adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said that Israeli artillery positioned in al-Zaffata and al-Eisheh plain bombarded the areas of al-Rafe mount, Aqmata farm, Lweiseh and Mleita hills, Jarjou, Ein Buswar road, al-Tase river course and Litani river flow and Sujoud al-Rayhan woods. The shelling with phosphorus bombs against al-Rafe mount led to fires in al-Snouber woods.
On the other hand some 40 citizens escaped death when a shell launched by the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army from its position in Jezzine against Jouneh town in al-Kharoub district, 35 km south of Beirut hit their building. Lebanese security sources said the 40 citizens were in one building in the town when a 155 mm artillery shell penetrated the building but did not explode. A Lebanese army force came to the site and defused the shell.
A confrontation took place between a member of the Norwegian contingent working within UNIFIL and South Lebanon Army (SLA) forces inside the occupied part of south Lebanon. People coming from south Lebanon said that SLA elements tried by means of force to get into the city of Kawkaba where the Norwegian unit is deployed.
They added that the militia members returning to Hasbia intercepted a Norwegian armored vehicle heading for Shabaa. They damaged the vehicle and arrested its team for a while.
Meanwhile Israeli Minister Internal Security Avigdor Kahalani called in statements for Israeli strikes against the Lebanese infrastructure each time a soldier from Israel is killed in south Lebanon.
Lebanon's Daily Star quoted Kahalani's spokesperson as saying, "We should attack bridges, the electricity grid, the water system in Lebanon each time one of our soldiers is killed in the country."
