Osama El-Baz: Israeli obstinacy will not last for long
Egypt, Politics, 8/20/1998

Osama El-Baz, the advisor of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak for political affairs stated during a meeting with an Islamic girls gathering in Alexandria that the Israeli government under Prime Minsiter Benjamin Netanyahu is following a policy that is very far from the peace process, causing great risk to the whole area.

El-Baz said, "The Israeli obstinacy policy will not last for long, because the Israeli people realize the importance of benefiting from the peace process."

El-Baz added, "Israel's possession of nuclear weapons does not mean its superiority over Arabs because Israel depends on other countries in manufacturing this type of weapons," adding that it is difficult to use biological and the nuclear weapons because all the surrounding countries -- including Israel -- would be affected by the use of these weapons.
