Father of late Queen Alia dies at 80

The Jordanian Royal Court on Wednesday night announced the death of Baha al-Din al-Hashimi, father of late Queen Alia, wife of King Hussein. She was killed in a helicopter crash in February 1977. King Hussein married Queen Alia in January 1972 who died four years later at the age of 28.
