Forty four killed in Yemeni floods

The number of victims in floods that took place in Yemen within the last few weeks has reached 44. The Yemeni daily al-Thawra said today that another person was reported missing today following a heavy rainfall on areas southeast of the capital, Sanaa, on Monday.
The paper added that the heavy rainfall inflicted damage on roads and other buildings. The official Yemeni news agency Sabaa quoted an official at the Ministry of Agriculture as saying that water level at Maareb's main dam increased to 18 million cubic meters.
